Mexican oregano is less pungent than the Greek variety. It's botanical name is (Lippia berlandieri) and is not a true oregano but it is the dried spice widely distributed throughout Mexico as oregano.  This form of oregano is always used dried, not fresh.  Our spice comes hand packed in our 2.2 oz view-though tin (.4oz net weight). Use this traditional ingredient in moles, sauces, beans or any recipe that calls for oregano.

How To Use Mexican Oregano

Crumble the oregano with your fingers then add it your sauce or other dish typically at the beginning of the cooking time.  As your mixture simmers the organo flavor will be absorbed.
