This is an exquisite all hand-painted set of 6 SAXE pot de creme cups with lids. This set was identified by the original owner as being produced by Charles Ahrenfeldt & Son between the late 1800's up to about 1910.  A delicate lattice design created with interconnect vines terminating in a tiny pink rose. The cup body has a simple embossed area along the bottom which adds dimension.  The finial is a stylized fruit with gold detail.  There is additional raised detail on the lid that forms a rope of gold trim mid way around the lid.
Each cup is about 3 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" tall measuring from the widest part of the body of the cup to furtherst side of the handle.  The height is measure from the bottom of the cup to the top of the finial.
Condition notes: The set is in pristine condition with two minor flaws.  There is a manufacturers flaw along the top rim of one cup under the glaze and painting.  There is one cup with an 1/16" tiny chip along the inside, under the rim (see last image).  The price has been adjusted to compensate for the imperfections.  The set appears to have never been used and well-maintained.  There is no visible gold loss.
Condition Vintage, very good
