Grana Padano Biscuits

Recipe by importer Arthur Schuman.  Biscuits are made with butter, cream, flour, eggs and Grana Padano cheese.

    • 3 oz butter
    • 7 oz Grated
    • Grana Padano cheese
    • 7 oz flour
    • 3 egg yolks
    • 3 teaspoons cream
    • 1 extra egg yolk to brush on biscuits


Put butter, flour, Cello (brand) Grana Padano and yolks into a mixing bowl. Mix together until the mixture has a "grainy" texture. If too dry, add extra egg yolk. Add cream to form a smooth dough.

Place in refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes. Roll out dough on a floured board. Cut out circular biscuits using a suitable cutter. Place on flat baking tray. Brush with extra yolk. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) for 15 minutes or until the biscuits turn golden in color.
