Ginger Whipped Cream

Recipe includes fresh heavy cream, sugar and powdered ginger.  Serve with an apple or pear fruit crisp or pumpkin pie.

    • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
    • 2 tablespoons confectioners' (powdered) sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger


Beat cream in a chilled bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.  Add the sugar and the ground ginger, and beat the mixture again until it holds stiff peaks.
