Blueberry Mojito Cocktail

Pronounced [moh-HEE-tohs] a popular classic "club" drink from Cuba. Based on a recipe from Food and Wine, 2001.

    • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries plus 2 tablespoons for garnish
    • 2 ounces simple syrup or 1 tablespoon superfine sugar
    • 2 lime wedges
    • 2 large fresh mint leaves
    • 1/2 cup crushed ice
    • 1 1/2 ounce Rum (Barcardi)
    • 2 ounces club soda


Muddle the 1/2 cup blueberries, sugar (or syrup), lime wedges and mint to crush and extract flavors. Add the crushed ice, rum, and club soda and stir well to blend. Garnish with the remaining 2 tablespoons of blueberries and an additional splash of soda
