Hot Buttered Rum is an old fashioned drink still served in ski lodges and bars. The batter is a spicy combination of brown sugar, butter and spices. The batter is used to make two versions of the drink, one made with batter, rum and water and the other uses milk rather than water. This always makes a tasty "virgin" version for those who don't consume alcohol.
