This recipe is for the original Classic BACARDÍ® Daiquiri invented back in 1898 in Daiquiri, Cuba. While the Daiquiri has many fans, some notables include Ernest Hemingway and President John F Kennedy.
The classic version is served straight up buy you may also serve them frozen as well. No matter how you like them, why not whip up a batch while celebrating National Daiquiri Day on July 19th.
Simple Syrup Add equal parts of sugar and water in a small sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Set aside. You can store simple syrup in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator.
Prepare The Drink Put all ingredients into a shaker. Fill with half cubed ice and half crushed ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Double strain into a coupe or rocks glass.
