Popularity of the product increased during the 'mad cow disease' crisis in the UK. Vegetable suet can be substituted in any recipe that calls for regular suet but of course will provide a different flavor. The product is available, mostly in the UK or UK online stores. Find it shredded in regular or light (less fat).
Gluten: Some of the Atora brand products contain wheat flour while others use rice flour. Read your label carefully if you have an issue with gluten.
