Tubettini are little short tubes of semolina pasta which is the little brother to the larger tubetti pasta. The little pasta is typically used is soups, stews or even old fashioned macaroni salad. This is a good pasta to use in Minestrone soup. You can find regular tubettini which are smooth or tubettini rigati which have ridges.
Cooking Time: Tubettini takes about 9 - 11 minutes to cook.
Look for this pasta in your local well-stocked grocery store including Walmart who typically stocks at least one brand of this pasta. You can also find it online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com as well.
If you don't have tubettini you can substitute as follows:
For soups substitute: Equal amounts of orzo or pastina. For salads substitute: Equal amounts of salad macaroni OR> Use equal amounts of ditalini pasta
