Syllabub

Syllabub is a sweet, frothed dessert that was popularized in Great Brittan between the 16th to the 19th century.  The confection started out as a drink with a foamy top made from spiced white wine and cows milk.  The recipe evolved throughout the years.  The sweet treat was served in special syllabub cups (sometimes confused with pot de creme cups, similar but different).
