What is Serrano ham?
A famous specialty ham from Spain. This expertly air cured ham is similar in flavor to Italian prosciutto. The hams are cured for a least one to almost 2 years. To serve the ham must be sliced paper thin. It may be served simply with Manchego cheese, made int sandwiches or tapas. Serrano ham can also be used to flavor sauces, soups or stews.
