What is Negi?
A very long onion (Allium fistulosum) that looks like a giant scallion used in Japanese cooking. It looks like a very long slender leek but has a very delicate texture and no hard core like a leek. The aroma is quite pungent with an onion-flavor. Use chopped in soups or sauces or use decoratively in miso soup or with sashimi.
