Muscat grapes are grown world-wide as both a table grape and a wine grape. As at table grape the distinctive flavor pairs well with spicy meats like Toscano salami and prosciutto. Muscat grapes are typically available from mid summer through fall.
These grapes are grown in many temperate regions including California, Spain, Chile, France and Italy.
Muscat wines tend to be quite sweet. Black Muscat wine from the Novitiate in Los Gatos, California is a wonderful summer aperitif or sipping wine.
These fragrant grapes make a fun icy treat. Just pop them in the freeze in zip sealed bag until just frozen. Serve frozen.
