You can buy honey in liquid form (referred to as runny honey in the U.K.) or spun which is actually the honey with bits of comb incorporated. Spun honey is thicker and whitish in color rather than amber. Much of the honey being sold today is being produced in China. You can also purchase honey still in the honeycomb.

Honey will take on the flavor of the plant from which the pollen is collected. For example, hives in a patch of lavender will have a slight flavor of lavender. Other popular naturally flavored honey include rosemary, and lime.
