Halloumi cheese is a "sturdy" white cheese from the island Cyprus. It's quite versatile and Cypriots eat the cheese grilled as well as fresh in salads and sandwiches.
This is a sheep's milk cheese that is sometimes flavored with little shreds of fresh mint. You can serve Halloumi on your cheeseboard with olives and sweet peppers.
