Long, slender, green edible pod beans. Green beans, also called string beans are eaten steamed or boiled. The cooked beans can be served warmed as a vegetable or chilled and used in salads. Green beans are available fresh, frozen, or canned.

We LOVE roasted green beans and they are super simple to prepare.
Preheat Oven to 400F
Just prep the beans (remove any stem ends) , wash and pat dry. Lay them on a baking sheet and toss them with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of oil, depending on how many beans you're cooking. Add a little salt and pepper, toss to coat the beans.
Place the pan in the hot oven and roast the green beans for 20 - 25 minutes until browned and crisp-tender.
We let them cool and eat them like French Fries.
