Cream of Wheat is a hot breakfast cereal (a brand of farina) made from wheat produced by the Nabisco company. Cream of wheat cereal was actually invented back in 1893. To prepare the cereal, place the cream of wheat in boiling water and a pinch of salt. Stir the mixture gently until cooked (about 10 minutes). There are instant versions available which cook faster but tend to have more additives and be less nutritional. Nutrition information shown is for original (slower cooking) product.
