Cherry Pie Filling is a commercially available product packed in jars or cans. Simply pour the mixture into a crust and bake for a quick cherry pie. Fillings are available with sugar or artificial sweeteners in most well-stocked grocery stores.
If you don't have cherry pie filling you can substitute one of these alternatives:
2 - 18 oz bags unsweetened frozen sour cherries (6 cups total) 1 to 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar (to taste) 1/2 cup flour (for thickening) Combine the sugar and flour together in a large bowl. Add the cherries and stir to combine and coat them well. Pour the mixture into a unbaked pie shell (9" pan)
