You can use the standard 2 to 1 ratio for cooking basmati rice. Add 1 cup of basmati rice in a medium sized saucepan. Add 2 cups of fresh water. Stir the rice. Place a lid on the pan and bring the mixture to a boil. Turn the heat down to low and continue to cook approximately 20 minutes.
