Arugula is an aromatic salad green. It is also known as rocket, roquette, rugula and rucola, and is popular in Italian cuisine. This now very popular green can be found in most any grocery store. The image of arugula we show here is a pretty common variety. You can also find baby arugula (great as part of a salad mix) and the more serrated variety sometimes referred to as Italian wild arugula.
Arugula with it's peppery flavor is typically eaten raw as a salad green but you can also incorporated it in pasta dishes. You can read more about arugula here.
