Argan oil is produced from the nut of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), which grows in south-west Morocco. The oil which is rich in natural vitamin E is used for dipping bread, for salad dressings or for cooking. The unprocessed oil also has cosmetic uses. Look for Argan oil at health food stores, gourmet shops or online.
Make sure if you are going to use the oil in food preparation that you purchase oil which is specifically labeled for that purpose. Because of the labor involved in producing the oil it does tend to be expensive. There are a few brands available on Amazon.com: Argan Oil
