A1 sauce (formerly A.1. Steak Sauce) is an old condiment that dates back to 1824 and was originally produced in the United Kingdom. The company that produced the sauce has changed hands and ownership several times over the last 100 or more years (read more about the history of A1 Sauce) and is currently owned by Kraft Foods. In addition to the "Original" sauce there are other flavored sauces and marinades produced today.
