It is continually difficult to find such a large set of pot de creme cups from the late 19th - early 20th century. This set includes a dozen cups with matching lids. The set is signed by the painter who is part of the Ravina Epinal commune in France.
The painting is pretty amazing. Each cup shows a unique intricately-painted scene, all painted with different shades of pink on an all white background. The lid has a delicate pink scalloped edge and a little apple finial with green leaves. There is a fine band of gold along the edge of the lid as well as at the top of the cup. The handle has a simple flourish of pink.
