The owner of this pot de creme cup describes it as being from the Napoleon III era from the Sevres factory in France. The Sevres mark is not a standard mark and appears to be either a copy or simply the mark of a different factory. The mark is in gold on the bottom of the cup.
The cup is a lovely shade of green with an inset of hand painted flowers in shades of pink, blue, orange and green. There is bright gold trim on the Empire style finial as well as on the cup and lid rim and the cup handle. There is also a gold band on the base of the cup as well as surrounding the floral inset.
