This set of of four pot de creme cups with matching saucers were designed by the famous architect Gio Ponti and produced by the Richard Ginori factory in Italy.
The design features a set of jockey uniforms in various colors. The cups have a round ball finial. The saucers, cup handle, cup rim and final are all trimmed in bright red. This set included 4 cups and saucers. The cups are 3 3/4" high and the saucers are 4 1/4" in diameter.
Gio Ponti was born in Milan in 1891. He graduated from the Politecnico di Milano University in 1921. He became famous for his architecture, furniture designs and other artwork.
