Steamers has been around Los Gatos for years. They started out in the small space next to Domus kitchen shop. The first Steamers had only 12 tables and and an oyster bar which would seat 8. See more about their history below.
We love Steamers (besides the fact the owners are from Gilroy too...) the bar is lively and fun, the appetizers are very good and the meals are consistent as well.
Get sodas or drinks in the bar and enjoy their fabulous wood fire pizza. Try the Fontina and pepperoni, wowza!
Steamers offers a happy hour every Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. Small plates from $5.00.$4, draft beers; $6.50 martinis; $5 well drinks, margaritas **They may have changed prices since this was written. Please check their menu for updates.
The original Steamers was located at 40 N Santa Cruz Ave which is now the home of Lexington House. From there they moved to Old Town (the old, Old Town) in the building that used to be The Antique restaurant. At that point the name changed to Steamers Fish Again and Pasta Too. When developers came in and rebuilt Old Town they moved across the street to their 3rd location in the new Old Town building 31 University Ave. next to Gap.
For those who would like a step down memory lane. Back when Steamers was located at their N Santa Cruz location we used to be able to go down to Carry Nations for a drink while we waited for a table and Steamers would call us when the table was ready.
