Manresa Bread is located in the shopping center behind Trent Pottery. Prior to this Manresa has sold its bakery goods in several Farmer's Markets including Campbell and Santa Cruz. The bakery features specialties from the pastry chef at the Manresa Restaurant located right across the parking lot. The bakery is the brain-child of Avery Ruzicka
As you can see by the images below we have sampled many of the fine offerings from the bakery. From left to right, Whole wheat bread, whole wheat bread sliced open, brioche with ham, cheese, whole grain mustard, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, ham and cheese sliced open, almond croissant, potato gruyere savory pastry, buttermilk coffee cake, brioche bread, kale scone, croissant, red pepper jam and cheese danish.
2/20/15 - Manresa Bread is Open!
The bread shop is currently opening Wednesday - Sunday at 7a.m. to 3:00pm or until they sell out. They are still tweaking their hours so they could change. It may be best to call ahead. As of February 20th the loaves of bread cost $8.00 and the sweet and savory pastries are $4 to $5 each.
As we walked downtown this weekend we see that the Pastaria staff is making progress on their new location. Tables are in and it appears wine (and perhaps food) is being tested out. Please note the current location on Main Street is still open for now.
I have a feeling it will be a packed-house once they open. The new restaurant will be located at 27 N Santa Cruz Ave (previously OPA).
