Flights opened in 2018 by the owners of Hult's. The owners did a small remodel and reinvented the business after having success with their first Flights restaurant in downtown Campbell.
The concept is that each drink or plate will be served as a "flight" as in a flight of 3 wines, or 3 appetizers on a small plate. Tables don't have assigned waitstaff but a band of employees keep an eye on your table and keep you served.
Flights has a full bar as well as an extensive wine selection.
The outdoor seating is alongside the restaurant and umbrellas are used during the warm weather and heaters are available for the chillier hours. These also have really nice cozy fire pits on the patio.
Flights has a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with drink and food specials. They also feature a weekend brunch.
Parking is available in the lot located on the south side of the building as well as behind the building in the town parking lot. Parking is free.
The owner has several locations including Campbell, Burlingame, and Mountain View California. There is an additional location in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can check out the locations here.
This property has housed many different eating establishments over the last 40 years or so.
*We're still researching these dates.
ASA Los Gatos opened around the 6th of October in the former location of Grill 57. This restaurant replaces the Basis in Saratoga for owner Andrew Welch.
The Pastaria and Market new location on 27 N Santa Cruz Ave seems to be progressing nicely. So far, there has not been an announcement of an opening date.
Mike Williams, the owner of the Southern Kitchen, is opening a new restaurant in the space that Le Boulanger just vacated. We don't know a lot yet, but he's said they'll be offering locally sourced "clean eating" dishes as well as hand-crafted organic cocktails.
