Blue Line Pizza is the latest in the ever-growing list of Los Gatos pizza restaurants.
Blue Line opened a Los Gatos location in January, 2015. This is part of a small Bay Area chain of pizza restaurants including locations in Campbell, Burlingame, Daly City, Mt. View, and San Carlos. The restaurant occupies the former home of Katsu (across from the park and The Boulanger).
Pizza specialties include a deep-dish style with a cornmeal crust. If you are accustomed to authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza then this may fall short for you, but it is interesting.
You can order half-baked pizzas and complete the baking at home within 2 days. You can also place a mobile order for faster pickup.
We tried the restaurant on 1/23/15. We brought in a medium deep-dish Italian Classic. The overall flavor was good. There was a thick layer of cheese beneath the tomato on top. The tomato was not a typical pizza sauce, more like a chunky almost stewed tomato consistency. The sausage was flavorful but a little skimpy. The green bell peppers seemed overcooked. The medium would have easily fed 4 -6 depending on your appetite size. The green salads were quite large, in fact for our group, one salad would feed at least 2 and even 3. You can order half salads as well. The salads were fresh and came with balsamic dressing.
They also offer thin-crust pizzas as well as a selection of salads and sandwiches. Blue Line also features a full bar.
Blue Line features a happy hour menu, Monday - Friday 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

ASA Los Gatos opened around the 6th of October in the former location of Grill 57. This restaurant replaces the Basis in Saratoga for owner Andrew Welch.
The Pastaria and Market new location on 27 N Santa Cruz Ave seems to be progressing nicely. So far, there has not been an announcement of an opening date.
Mike Williams, the owner of the Southern Kitchen, is opening a new restaurant in the space that Le Boulanger just vacated. We don't know a lot yet, but he's said they'll be offering locally sourced "clean eating" dishes as well as hand-crafted organic cocktails.
