I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

Weight Loss: Cumulative: -30.5 (SW loss: -4.8 lbs)
This is my lowest weight (by 1/2lb) since I started this regime almost a year ago.
I had leftover Chile Verde with a few slices of avocado. I could have spiffed up the plate a bit with one of those fresh tomatoes in my garden. However, it was 7:00a.m. and I didn't feel like paddling out in the yard as of yet.
I took a short walk, about 5000 steps. When I got back I had a 3 slices of leftover steak from the other day. That steak, I'm happy to announce, is used up! I particularly dislike wasting food that an animal had to die for. A little later I had a naughty snack that consisted of a glass of iced coffee with some real cream. I could live on real cream but I'm sure my coronary arteries would object.
I had an eclectic but tasty lunch today. I had about 2 ounces of raw cashew nuts (haven't had those a lot recently). Then I had about 2 ounces of pate (Chicken with Truffles) and some celery sticks. I followed up with a glass of ice water. The celery is of course a free food Slimming World wise, pate was of course syn-city.
This heading should say afternoon "snacking". I've been raiding the cashew nut container. I think I better move it to the pantry rather than by the back door where I exit all day long ***sigh*** Had I only eaten the amount in that little 3" Pyrex dish for the day I'd have been fine but I'm sure I ate closer to a cup of these which is, eh, um over 1200 (twelve hundred) calories.
Things did not get any better at dinner time. Given I'd been on a snack-a-thon all day I wasn't very hungry but I wanted to eat something that approximated healthy. I had 3/4 of an avocado to use up and more tomatoes from the garden. I drizzled avocado and tomato with olive oil and red wine vinegar (lest ye think the ONLY thing I use is balsamic) and some salt and pepper. Sadly these last 2 avocados have been bland at best. At least the plate looked colorful. I shared this with my husband.
I was going to have fresh blueberries with a little cream but I didn't. However, I should have because I got a little hungry later and ended up eating MORE cashew nuts. The good news, if there was any to be had, is that I took another walk and polished off my 10k steps for the day.
Wow, this was a lost day. I think I overcompensated for the lack of meals yesterday. It's nice to be losing weight again. I've been "running in place" for quite awhile now. I lost the 5lbs I managed to gain back plus another 1/2 lb. I'm not sure what the scale will say tomorrow given my cashew-pig-out.
Tomorrow is the weekend and I plan a lot of doing nothing. Hope you all have a great weekend too. I catch back up with you tomorrow.
