I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

I had to have some tests today so no breakfast (or coffee!).
I was still out so, no snack.
I was finally able to get some lunch around 12:30. I opted for a turkey and swiss sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, no mayonnaise. I removed the bread and ate 1/2 of the sandwich innards. Slimming world wise everything is free except the roughly 1/4 ounce of cheese which would be about 1.25 syns or your healthy dairy extra.
I finally got settled in at home an got a little hungry. I ate the other half of the sandwich (insides only) and donated my bread to the birds.
Around 3:00 I had about 3 slices of Parmesan cheese about 1.8" thick and about 2" square.
Around dinner time we actually drove to town then walked about a block to our favorite fresh-Mex place. I had Chile Verde with Salad, which was wonderful as usual and brought some of the Chile Verde home. As far as syns go, the salad had an oil an vinegar dressing. Typically I ask to have it on the side and rarely use it but I forgot this time so you'd have to deduct syns for the oil and the little bit of goat cheese. Although I don't know the exact recipe they use for the Chile Verde I'm sure there is some oil used in the process so, some syns there too but tricky to try to count. Chile Verde basics is pork with a sauce of tomatillos, chiles, and onions.
I really wanted something sweet but I'm trying to strictly lay off sweets, particularly sugary sweets for awhile. So, I didn't have anything.
I'm not going to be able to walk vigorously for another 7 days or so I better get used to it. I'm sure I'll take some leisurely walks in the next few days otherwise I'll go stir-crazy. It was nice to have something out that was pretty healthy AND had flavor. Everything I've been eating for the most part lately has been pretty bland.
