I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

I woke up and had a couple of thin slices of Scottish cheddar with my morning coffee. I did a few chores around the house and eventually walked into town to the farmer's market to fetch some fresh eggs. When I got back I made a poached egg with a medium-sized slice of ham. I think Slimming World wise this is a free meal.
I had a backlog of tasks that required using the computer. Thus, there went my morning (and my morning snack). I did finally eat a slice or two of good Parmigiano Reggiano which is divine!
Lunch began as a snack with a small piece of beef jerky. By small I mean a strip about 3/4" wide by about 3" long. I waited awhile and I decided to make a simple tuna salad with just some scallion, celery, a few black sliced olives and a little mayonnaise. I served it in a tomato from the garden.
Given on my current regime, nuts are permissible I ate about an ounce to an ounce and a half of raw almonds.
I ate lunch kind of late so dinner was later than normal. I grilled a large Chateaubriand (which is a large, thick, sirloin steak). I sliced off a few pieces and served it with some sauteed zucchini from the garden. I also added some fresh tomatoes with a little salt and pepper, a couple teaspoons of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I had a little dollop of horseradish cream on the side.
Desserts are not permissible but it didn't matter because I was full from dinner. I did have a couple of more glasses of water. No more caffeine for a couple of days or I'd have had a cup of coffee. I did go out for one more 1 mile walk before dark (when it was cool) so I just made my 10k step goal.
This all protein diet is a little strange but it isn't really difficult. I could probably live on good cheese and good home-raised tomatoes. But, I'd rather not. All in all a good day. Onward and forward onto a new week.
