I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

I'm sticking to my standard, if not boring, regular breakfast. This time I had Fage Total 0% fat Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries and a new granola I fetched from Whole Foods yesterday. This granola is interesting in that it is mostly nuts and seeds, a little oats and only a small amount of sugar (compared most all other brands of granola and breakfast cereals in general). Slimming World wise I'd have been good except for my granola which is about 7.5 syns although I could deduct some of the grain and the nuts/seeds from my daily allotment.
I was at an appointment at snack time so no snacks were to be had.
I was fairly ravenous by the time I got back so I headed straight to my fave fresh Mex place and had my usual mesquite grilled chicken salad. I did not use the supplied oily dressing so I was syn free at lunch. Well, not totally. There were a few, less than 5 small chunks of avocado and about 1 tablespoon of goat cheese.
This is the first day in over 2 weeks that I have not had at least a couple of walks and hit or exceeded my 10k daily goal. It's 91F out and humid due to some tropical storm coming up from Mexico. It's too hot to walk and the air quality is poor to boot. I feel guilty but I'll just have to deal with it.
With this heat I'm just used up some left overs. I had a few sliced tomatoes from my garden topped with fresh mozzarella and a olive oil drizzle plus a little leftover piece of chicken and pork. More than enough on this hot, hot, hot, day.
The above image was dinner for 2 of us.
The platter seemed a little sparse for 2 so I added a few slices of Toscano. Slimming world wise the chicken and pork were free, tomatoes free, the fresh mozzarella, olive oil on the tomatoes and Toscano were syns one should track.
I was feeling good for not overeating but did decide to have a small snack. I do wish I had some of my old Nutrisystem desserts. Instead I had I few cashew nuts. It cooled off enough so I could go out for a walk after all so I hit my step goal for the day.
This was a pretty decent day food wise. Some events unfolded that may be affecting my future eating style, we shall see. I'll fill you in as I know more. Hope you all have had a great week and have conjured some good plans for the upcoming weekend. Till then, see you Friday!
