I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

Weight Loss (total loss via Nutrisystem 26.4)
It's Monday which means 7am at the gym. I fortified myself with about 1/2 cup Fage Total 0, zero fat Greek yogurt, blueberries and 1/4 cup generic granola (it came from a little farm in Oregon). The yogurt and berries are "free foods" and because I don't have nutrient info I'll assume it's in the "syn" category.
It was about 70F after the gym so I took a good walk after knowing it's going to top 93+ F later today. I want to make sure with my other general activities that I make my 10k step goal. When I got back I was plenty hungry so I had a Nutrisystem Chocolate TurboShake (syn).
It started heating up so fast and a cool sandwich sounded good and didn't heat up the kitchen. I had thawed some Turkey slices I had in the freezer from this last Christmas. I actually made a sandwich with TWO slices of Dave's Killer skinny bread (a Slimming World approved "healthy extra"), a little mayo from the "syn" category and the turkey and lettuce which would be from the "free" category.
Later in the afternoon I had a stick of light string cheese (another "healthy extra").
I really didn't need to cook but I had to do something so I could use up food before it went to waste and make something so I have some leftovers. I was going to be in a kitchen with a/c so I decided I'd make my Tuscan Pork Roast. This is simply a pork roast slathered in a paste made with 1 whole bulb of garlic, peeled and chopped, fresh herbs, whatever is in the garden (tarragon, sage, thyme, parsley) kosher salt, pepper and enough oil to form a paste.
I had one of my little globe shaped zucchini from the garden so I sauteed it then added about 2 teaspoons of butter before serving. I had one tomato and one cucumber from the garden too so I sliced those to serve on the side as well.
I bought some Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and I ate half of one. And before you think "how healthy of you" I later succumbed to 5 Hershey's chocolate nuggets. I blame this on my husband, Mr. Sweet Tooth for buying them all the time.
Despite the nasty heat and my general laziness I did get go to the gym, had a good walk, got all 10K + steps in AND cooked a decent dinner. I'd call today a success! Hope you all are having a good day. See you tomorrow.
