I just came off of 325+ days on Nutrisystem where I lost 25-30 lbs (depending on what day I weigh). I plan to use the Slimming World Food Optimizing plan for continued weight loss. I'll be sharing with you my impressions, successes (and maybe failures) so you can decide if this plan is right for you.

Breakfast was a little quirky this morning. I had some Fage Total 0 nonfat yogurt, some Nutrisystem Biscotti Bites (all gone now) and a few tomato pieces I couldn't finish last night but did not want to throw away.
I headed out for a walk so I skipped a snack and just had lunch when I got home. I'll need one more walk in or I can't hit my 10k goal. I just have to do it as early as possible because the temps are in high 80's to mid 90's.
Between being lazy and hot I reconstituted a Nutrisystem Loaded Potato lunch entree which is more or less like a pile of flavored mashed potatoes. With a glass of black ice coffee it was nicely filling.
Around 1:00 I headed out for a walk and it was awfully hot. I walked just long enough to get my 10k steps in. When I got back I had a stick of light string cheese.
The house was heating up and I really did not feel like standing around in the kitchen nor did I want to go out. I popped open the freezer and I had some Coq au vin that I made not very long ago. I heated it the microwave and that was dinner. Slimming World Wise it was not too good because the chicken was not skinless (although there was just one little piece) and there is some fat used in the sauce. The onions, carrots and mushrooms were all good. It would not be difficult to make a less syn-laden version. Remove the skin from the chicken, reduce the amount of salt port used and the rest is pretty good.
I broke open a bag of Nutrisystem Vanilla Shortbread cookies and had 1/2 (3 pieces) and about another gallon of water.
Eating healthy is challenging but add to it scorching hot days and it makes it more difficult to stay on track. I got all my steps in and for that I am grateful. There is no end in site to the hot weather for at least several more days. There will be more impromptu uncooked meals.
