Today's easy breakfast was our "hamlet and cheese". This consists of a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread (60 calories) 1 slice Canadian bacon (20 calories) and one slice of Tillamook Medium Cheddar Cheese (110 calories). A little high in fat and salt but overall not bad. I chased it down with low sodium V8 juice to get a serving of vegetables in.
I'm such a creature of habit and I had my usual late morning cup of coffee with 2 teaspoons of cream.
I do have a few Nutrisystem lunches in the freezer so I heated my last Nutrisystem Steak and Cheese Melt. I served it with a side salad of about 1 1/2 cup field greens, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar, 1 teaspoon raw sun flower seeds and 1/4 ounce crumbled blue cheese.
Other than another cup of coffee (with 2 more teaspoons cream) I didn't have any other snacks. That said I did get a decent walk in; about 2 miles.
I have 3 Nutrisystem Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry entrees left in the freezer so I decided to eat one even though it didn't sound great. I sauteed some baby spinach to add to it as well as a few fresh green beans. I also added about 1 teaspoon oyster sauce. This spruced up the dish a little.
I still have a couple of Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcakes but I decided to skip them for tonight. I did head out and got one move short walk in to finish up my 10k for the day.
It was nice to get my full 10k steps in today. Once this strange late winter weather clears up I should be able to get back on track with regular 10k+ steps per day. My Nutrisystem meals today were the Steak and Cheese Melt for lunch and the Chicken And Vegetable Stir Fry for dinner. Tomorrow I'll switch up the blog format. I have a "special diet" day tomorrow so it's a good time to switch things up. See you then!
