I seem to finally be making progress. I'm not sure I'm eating what I should or as much as I should of the right stuff but I'm not going to complain. This morning I ate Nutrisystem Granola Cereal with 1/2 cup Fage 2% Greek yogurt. I was hungry about 30 minutes later. This breakfast is about 53% carb and I think that's just too many carbs for my physiology.
By 9:30am I was really hungry. First I nibbled on 1/2 of a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese -- still hungry. Then I plucked out 1 1/8 ounce of my left over roasted chicken. My elderly cat decided she likes people food better than she used to so she polished off the 1/8th ounce and I had the rest. Then, just to make sure I could last to lunch I made a fresh cup of coffee and had 1 tablespoon cream (I know, I'm letting those fats creep up on me)...
I'm in "nothing sounds good" but I know I'm hungry mode. I planned on a Nutrisystem Fudge Graham Bar for lunch but a "candy bar" lunch just did not do it for me today. Instead I toasted a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread and topped it with 1 egg cooked in about 2 teaspoons of butter. Oopsy, my total fat calories for the day right now are 48% of total calories -- I'll have to do better this afternoon.
I didn't get around to a snack. I went out and did grocery shopping instead.
I'm not sure why but pepper steak sounded good again. I baked another sweet potato to go with the steak (I only ate about 1/4 of it). I also made a little side salad with fresh fennel, green apple and a little blue cheese. My photo did not do the dish justice but here it is never the less.
Later in the evening "something" sounded good but I didn't want a lot. I decided on 1/2 of a Nutrisystem Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Nut Bar, the Kirkland version. Besides all the nuts I love the fact this is not a sugary sweet tasting. Here is a picture of the two nut bars compared.
While I didn't get a lot of steps in this was one of those days where I got a lot of "little things" done. I'm hoping to get back to a normal level of exercise soon. Tomorrow is Saturday; hope you all have some fun planned!
