Woo hoo! 10.3lbs down! Even though the past week has been way too many flex meals I decided a healthy egg scramble was in order. I did my typical version with egg, chopped green scallion and as a splurge I sprinkled it with 1/4 ounce shredded cheddar cheese. I also had about 4 ounces of low sodium V8 juice and 1 slice Dave's Killer skinny bread, toasted. I took a quick walk up the block to get a few steps in.
Around 9:30 I opted for a fresh cup of coffee with 2 teaspoons cream. Later I took a short walk and then had 1/2 cup of 2% fat cottage cheese. I'm not a huge fan of cottage cheese, mostly because it's always been a "diet food". I like it with fresh ripe tomatoes or chopped up fresh fruit. I went out and got a little gardening done including the planting of some plants I picked up a couple weeks ago at the nursery.
I headed out for one of my many "mini" walks today. When I got back in the door my stomach said I was hungry but head told me nothing sounded good. I thought I'd try the Nutrisystem Creamy Beef Alfredo. I heated it and took a quick pic. I took a few bites and managed to finish 1/2 of it. It's not you, Nutrisystem, it's me. I packed up the other half and I'll eat it later if/when I get hungry.
I'm happy to have managed to get a lot of little stuff done today I've wanted to get done for awhile. That always feels nice. I kicked off my shoes for the day around 4:00. I came in and made a snack plate with 1/4 ounce Toscano, 2 Ozery Spelt Crackers and 3/8 ounce Carmody cheese. I topped it off with some iced black coffee.
Later I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store just a couple of blocks away which gave me a few more "steps" for the day.
I think that good cheese put me in the mood for a little pizza for dinner. I spruced up my Nutrisystem Italian Sausage and Turkey Pepperoni Pizza with some chopped red onion and about 1/4 ounce of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Before serving I topped it with some red pepper flakes.
I wasn't hungry after dinner but about an hour or so before bed time I got a little peckish so I snacked on 1/2 ounce of raw cashew nuts. The nuts with a glass of water are fairly filling.
I didn't get quite as much walking in as I'd hoped but not real bad. My appetite is still not up to snuff but I ate pretty well. I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already! Hope you all have some fun weekend plans. Hope to see you then!
