Hey, I hit my 10 lb loss! I started today off with a Nutrisystem Turkey Sausage and I topped it with 1/2 ounce cheddar cheese. This really does kick up the flavor.
Around 10ish I had a fresh cup of coffee with my requisite 2 teaspoons of heavy cream. Around 11ish I took a short walk and when I got back I had one of my husband's wonderful Banana Smoothies. I had about 5 ounces because he goes a little crazy with the high calorie stuff. It's pretty pure though, just banana, Fage 5% Greek yogurt, nutritional yeast and a little frozen orange juice. He adds a little water it if is too thick. It tastes great! I ate about 135 calories worth but a normal serving is about 300 calories.
I made a half sandwich with 1 slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread and some white meat roasted chicken. I had a little red bell pepper left so I sliced that up. I also had half a bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water.
At about 3:00 I decided to have some black iced coffee. I took another short walk up the block and back. I'm not particularly hungry right now but I may snack on something later. I did end up having a couple of snacks. First a bag of the Nutrisystem Sweet and Salty Snack Mix. This is a great snack with a little sweetness but not a real dessert kind of thing. I love peanuts and almonds so it's a hit for me. It also includes little round pretzel bits; all very crunchy. I was still hungry about an hour later and dinner was a way off so I had 1/2 ounce (3 thin slices) Toscano salami.
I really wanted to eat a regular Nutrisystem meal just to get more on track but we had some chicken tamales to use up. I ate only 1/2 because the whole tamale is 360 calories and about 38g of carb. I wasn't that hungry so half was plenty.
Not surprisingly I was hungry a couple hours later. I've been holding off eating this dessert because it's one of the higher calorie options; the Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae Cup (190 calories). These are pretty good but as I've said before; they could reduce the calorie content a little by removing that little "blop" of brownie like thing they stick in it.
I'm starting to feel like I'm making some actual progress, weight wise and general improvement wise. I got close to 7k steps in, getting closer to my 10k goal that I was keeping up with previously. Progress is a good thing!
