I had an odd little flex breakfast. I had 1/2 cup of Fage 2% yogurt, 1/8th cup Coconola (an all seed, nut, and coconut granola) and 2 walnut halves. I was trying to accomplish 2 power fuels and one smart carb. I think I was close.
After a 2nd cup of black coffee I headed out to do more weeding.
Around 9 I stopped and took a break. I had a fresh cup of coffee with 2 teaspoons heavy cream. Later I frothed up my Nutrisystem Turbo Shake.
I ordered the Nutrisystem Southwest Fiesta Melt for the first time in a long time. These are not bad. They taste a little like tamale pie in a wrap crust. I particularly like the corn kernels. I had some celery cut up already so all I had to do was grab it out of the bag.
My afternoon snack today was 2 new crackers I've just recently tried and 2 wedges of Laughing Cow Light Creamy Swiss cheese. After the snack I attempted to go for a walk. It was close to 90F out and the walk was short lived. I managed to go a few blocks but it was just too tiring in the heat.
I do love the flex dinners! Tonight I grilled some chicken thighs. I heated some kidney beans (yuck) and made a simple cucumber with vinegar salad. I like kidney beans by the way but I like them cold (go figure). Try adding a tiny bit of olive oil and minced garlic. I got the bright idea to cook them, not so good.
After dinner and before dessert I headed out for a final walk. It's cooler but still very warm. I only needed to go a few blocks which was fine by me.
I sat a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake out to thaw before I left on my walk. It was ready by the time I got back. Yes, I admit I'm a little hooked on these. I guess they remind me of my old Hostess Cupcake days.
My efforts are slowly but surely becoming visible in the garden area. Today may be my last day for a few that I can get outside and get more work done. I got my 10k in today which was good and had a nice flex dinner. Life is right! I'll check back in tomorrow!
