Tuesday, April 23, 2019 Total Steps: 10,582 Total Calories: 1023 Water Intake: 24 oz? UGH Weight Loss as of March 29, 2019 : -6.4 (still up since Sunday)
I have an appointment this morning so no gardening for me. I did get some watering done before it was time to leave. I heated a Nutrisystem Cinnamon Roll and served with some black coffee and about 1/3 cup Fage 2% yogurt. This was not an exciting breakfast but I didn't want to take the time to cook anything.
I went grocery shopping after my appointment and arrived back home about 11ish. I purchased some fresh USA caught halibut steaks. It sounds perfect for dinner. I put on some fresh coffee and served it with the usual 2 teaspoons heavy cream. I headed for my desk and got some work done. I needed to get a walk in and it's not getting any cooler outside. It might hit 90F today. I prepped my Nutrisystem Turbo Chocolate Shake and drank it down before I headed out. It was 84F out and it's hard to avoid the sun. I got about 6000 steps in, not bad.
I planned on a flex lunch today but I hadn't planned on the flex dinner. I don't want the fresh halibut to sit in the frig so I'll just wing it and have two flex meals in one day. That used to be a no-no in prior versions of the Nutrisystem Plan but now I have so many flex meals in a week that there is no way to not have some overlap.
I would have preferred not to have more of my salty (buy yummy) baked ham but it's there and I want to use it. I sliced off 2 ounces and served it with a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread and some mustard. I also sliced some cucumber. Cucumber is perfect hot weather food.
I didn't want to eat a lot so I just ate some raw cashew nuts; 3/4 ounce to be exact as well as a glass of iced coffee.
I threw on the grill and grilled my lovely halibut steak (plenty for 2 people). I marinated the fish in some olive oil, garlic, toasted then ground fennel seed and some salt. I also roasted the rest of my green beans I purchased for Easter, and heated the leftover mashed sweet potatoes. It made a perfect flex dinner.
After dinner I headed out for my final walk of the day. I walked to the grocery store and back and that took care of my 10k. It was still very warm out so perfect for an evening walk. When I returned home I had a Nutrisystem Orange Cream Bar.
Other than it getting awfully hot for doing much of anything other than sipping Mint Juleps on the veranda; this was a good day. I made my step goal, my 9 of 10 hours of 250 steps or more goal and my calorie goal but not so much my water intake goal. I plan to be back in the garden early in the morning before it heats up. I "almost" have the garden area cleaned up and "manageable" until the next crop of weeds fill in. Hope you all enjoying your week. I'll catch you around the water cooler tomorrow!
