Well that was a nice bit of news, down 6.1lbs! Depending on how much you have to lose that may not seem like a lot to some of you but it's good progress for me. I am one of those people that lose weight very slowly.
I had to head out early this morning as I was going out of town for the day. I threw together a quick bowl of Nutrisystem Granola Cereal with 4 ounces of 2% milk and 1/3 cup blueberries with 1 teaspoon of heavy cream.
I didn't really have a snack but we stopped for a quick coffee with a little cream. It was about a 3 hour drive. I should have been drinking water which I did bring along but I avoided to so we wouldn't have to make an unnecessary stops.
I was having lunch with a couple of family members. We sat around and enjoyed coffee and conversation and eventually eased into lunch. I had a pretty decent lunch. We brought a couple of types of olives, fresh rustic wheat bread, salad, prosciutto, toscano salami and black forest ham. We also offered some very thin, buttery slices of Havarti cheese. I served myself one slice of bread, a 1/2 slice of cheese and three pieces of a mix of each of the meats. I passed on the mayonnaise. I did serve myself about 4 BBQ potato chips. Lunch was wonderful! Coffee and pie were served but I passed on the pie but enjoyed the coffee. Not long after we had to be on our way.
Clearly we were still on the road at snack time. We finally arrived home after 4:00. I was a little hungry so I had about 1/2 ounce of cashew nuts. I needed a walk after having been seated literally all day. I procrastinated until after I finished a light dinner.
I'm just a few days away from the last of my Nutrisystem foods so pickin's are getting a little slim. I selected the Nutrisystem Chicken and Vegetable Stir-fry. I heated it and didn't bother making any other vegetable. I did add the teaspoon of oyster sauce again. It does help the flavor a little.
I headed out for a walk. I ended up going a little over 2 miles which is not bad considering I had no other movement to speak of all day. When I arrived back home I sat down to the Nutrisystem Cinnamon Coffee Cake. It is quite good. I followed it with a glass of water. One of the few I had all day.
It's nice to be down 6.1 lbs. I won't even hit a 10lb loss for the month I doubt, but even a few pounds off feels good. I like being able to experience the sensation of truly being hungry and not just an urge to eat because something looks or sounds good. Other than a lack of fresh vegetables, exercise and water, I had a great day!
