Went down another .1 lb, not a lot but hey, still the right direction! I felt decent this morning and the Nutrisystem Cinnamon Roll with coffee and a scrambled egg (with scallions) sounded pretty good. After whipping up breakfast I headed out for a walk to the farmer's market. I had more enthusiasm than energy haha! Nevertheless I I made it there, not far, .7 miles (each way) and purchased my favorite field greens and a dozen brown eggs. I felt like I was dragging myself back but made it back alive! I had some ice water and eventually another cup of fresh coffee.
I was in a protein mood. I had some Canadian bacon so I slid 3 slices on my plate along with 1/4 of a 1/2 of cucumber. It was nicely filling.
For whatever reason I ordered quite a few Nutrisystem Hamburgers. Because of that I heated one and served it with a teaspoon of ketchup and a teaspoon of mustard. I also whipped up a quick field greens salad with a little bit of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
I'm out of cottage cheese so I served 1/2 of a small banana with a little 2% Greek yogurt. For whatever reason I don't care for this combination. There is something about the sweet banana and the tart yogurt. It nevertheless it the spot.
I headed out for a walk before dinner. It was actually hot today 80F which made my walk a little harder given I was pretty low energy to begin with. I surprised when I got back to learn I had 9000 steps now. I'll have to get another walk in to hit 10k. When I got back it was dinner time. Tonight is a Flex Meal. If you're a Nutrisystem regular you know what a flex meal is. If not, it's a meal using Nutrisystem standards but with your own foods. So, 2 power fuels (lean protein) and 1 smart carb. I had 4 ounces of grilled lean top sirloin steak, about 1/4 cup green beans and and a green salad. Neither vegetables was a smart carb. I could have had a small sweet potato or even a little corn. I was satisfied with what I had but I'll remember next time to have some brown rice, sweet potato or some other smart carb.
After dinner I walked back and forth from one end of our block to the other and back and BAM! Hit my 10k goal!
My Fitbit tracker estimates how many calories I have at any given time for the rest of the day in order to hit my target weight loss goal. It said I had about 300 calories. I went through my stash of desserts and came up with the Nutrisystem Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich. It only had 130 calories and it tasted great.
I even surprised myself today by hitting (and even exceeding a little) my 10k goal for the day. I told myself no matter how lousy I feel I need to get out there and maybe I'll feel better for it. I didn't fare quite as well with my water intake but not bad. If was GREAT having my first flex meal; it tasted very good. I'm always worried that I'll gain weight after a flex day but I think I'll be OK. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
