I'm not feeling really terrific today although I slept well; a bonus. Nothing for breakfast sounded good although NOW I have many more options. I kept it simple and had 1/2 package of the Nutrisystem Buttermilk Waffle, one scrambled egg and a small glass of Low Sodium V8 juice. I topped my waffle with 1 teaspoon REAL butter and about a tablespoon of fake Vermont maple syrup (sugar free).
It's about time for a snack and my stomach is a little queasy. I decided to get a short (like 1/2 mile) walk in just as it started to sprinkle outside. The rain started to begin in earnest as I approached home. It this keeps up most likely that is the start and end of exercise today. I did come back and enjoy 8 large cashew nuts (1/2 oz). The are tasty yet bland enough that they seem to quell my queasy stomach.
I got a little hungry later and had the Nutrisystem Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I spiced it up a little with about a teaspoon of Sriracha hot sauce. I also added a slice of red onion and a little bit of lettuce. It didn't look terrific but it tasted pretty good. I had half of a medium cucumber too.
I finally stopped trying to power through my stomach issue and took something for it. Finally, I felt better. When snack time came around I had some 2% cottage cheese and 1/2 of a smallish banana. That was perfect. Tasted good and made my stomach happy. I eventually had a fresh cup of coffee with 2 teaspoons of real cream too; to perk me up a little.
Even though my stomach is feeling quite a bit better nothing sounded really terrific for dinner. I had one of my Nutrisystem staples, the Nutrisystem Roasted Turkey Medallions with mashed potatoes. I had the other half of my lunch cucumber so I sliced it, added a little salt, pepper and red wine vinegar.
I almost forgot that I get a dessert in the evening (or other snack). I wasn't overly hungry so I ate half of another old favorite; Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake. I'm going to get some decaf so I can have coffee in the evening with my dessert. I just can't do evening caffeine.
Well, despite the fact I got very little exercise in I feel it was a pretty good day. More meal flexibility is nice. I'll appreciate it more as my stomach gets happier. I met and barely exceeded my 64 oz water goal; maybe a first for me! It's the weekend tomorrow. Other than some grocery shopping I don't have a lot planned. Hope you all have a great one!
