I warmed up a Nutrisystem Blueberry Muffin today which really is not bad. The muffins seem more filling than the meal replacement bars although I'm more of a scrambled egg gal than a sweets for breakfast person. My other "normal" goto breakfast is Greek yogurt, a small healthy-ish portion of granola and fresh blueberries. Nevertheless this was amply filling. I had coffee with the muffin and a little more coffee later while typing up yesterday's blog. I use a Fitbit (anyone remotely interested in my obsession with pedometers can click the link and read about that..) which reminds me, on the hour, starting at 7am to go take 250 steps. So, today, preemptively, I walked to the end of the block (exactly 300 steps) and back.
The Fresh Start Probiotic Chocolate Shake again. The good news is it is good an filling for awhile. I fit a small walk in.
Lunch today is the Nutrisystem Trailmix Bar which was better than I remember it. Part of that is the fact I was pretty hungry by the time I ate it. I did like the texture and flavor. I liked the layer of chocolate on the bottom. I had almost 3 ounces of celery too.
I headed out for a larger walk. When I got back I chowed down on a bag of Nutrisystem Pretzels. I've never had them before. They tasted pretty much like any pretzel I've ever eaten. They are short stubby little pretzels which was fine but typically I prefer the thin "stick" variety. I was going to dunk them in mustard but couldn't remember at the moment if it was allowed on week one (which it is). I washed them down with a big glass of water.
I was good and hungry by the time dinner time rolled around. I had the Nutrisystem Hearty Beef Stew and more red bell pepper. This entree is the equivalent of that old fashioned stew you got in a can back in the 50's and 60's. Greyish peas, overcooked carrots and chewy bits of meat. But hey, tasted great to me!
Between my one main walk and my little 250k step walks I managed to tally up 7860 steps. Not bad for a Monday which is usually my busiest office day of the week. I also got very close to my water goal for the day, my best out of 4 days. I'm down 3 pounds, can't complain about that!
