Here is a snapshot of all foods for today + one slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread.
I weighed the same today as yesterday which is OK. I tried something new for me today for breakfast which was the Nutrisystem Cinnamon Bun Bar (150 calories). Sadly my allergies have kicked in big-time so I really could not taste it. It did have a nice soft agreeable texture. I enjoyed it along with my morning cup'a joe.
The bars just tend to not stick with me real long. I was beyond ready for a snack by 10ish. I whipped up the usual Nutrisystem Fresh Start Probiotic shake. It was pretty nice out so I headed out for a good walk, over 2 miles and a good portion of my goal for the day.
Because of my "special day" I have this Thursday I wanted to make sure I reserve some higher protein foods for that day. That left me to select the Nutrisystem Fudge Graham Bar which has become my almost favorite. For the record my very favorite is the Nutrisystem Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Nut Bar. I purchased an iced coffee while out walking because it was actually HOT out so I added a little too it and served it with my bar.
I didn't eat today's afternoon snack until after dinner. Lunch ended up being late and I didn't want to jam in a snack if I wasn't really hungry. So after dinner I had a bag of the Nutrisystem Chocolate Chip Cookies. These are not your mom's chocolate chip cookies by a long stretch but they are sweet, crunchy little bites. I would have enjoyed them more with a cup of coffee but I have to avoid caffeine in the evening or it will take me hours to get to sleep.
That said I did take off and got one more walk in so I hit (actually exceeded) my step goal for the day.
My dinner this evening was the Nutrisystem BBQ Seasoned Chicken served on a slice of toasted Dave's Killer skinny bread. I think it is supposed to be representative of a "pulled chicken" kind-a-thing. It is nicely seasoned, has a decent flavor despite how it looks. I had carrots so I peeled one, sliced it up and up and ate half a long with some iced water. As mentioned above about 30 minutes or so after I had my afternoon cookie snack.
Between walks and normal weekend life stuff I managed to get a little gardening in. The warm days are setting in and weeds will soon be impossible to pull. I started a couple weeks ago but found a little snake and I didn't want to disturb the area any further until he could relocate. I also noticed the bees were enjoying the oxalis flowers so I didn't want to pull more of those lest I take away their food source. So I raked leaves instead.
I was very happy to get over 10k steps in. This used to be a regular thing for me but I've been off track for the last many months, part my fault, part not. Anyway so onward and forward. Tomorrow is April Fools Day!
