Not bad for day 2, down 1.6lb. I wasn't feeling really up to snuff yesterday and I'm pretty sure I'm coming down with "something". Perhaps a cold, don't think I've had one for a least a couple of years. I'll lay low today in general. Here is a pick of all the foods I've selected for today.
Along with my usual black coffee I selected the Nutrisystem Peanut Butter Granola Bar. I'm just not a big fan of the bar meals. It was an "OK" for me. But this week is about getting a reality check about the amount of food too many of us pack in within a day. Time to shrink the ole stomach back down. I'm sure you've all heard that you should never eat more food than what would condense down to the size of your fist.
The Fresh Start Probiotic Chocolate Shake is a given for my morning snack this week. I typically eat breakfast around 7a.m. so I'm ready for a snack by 10ish. By the way, here is a comparison of the nutritional information of the previous Turbo Shake and the new Fresh Start Probiotic Shake:
Lunch was the Nutrisystem Three Cheese Chicken. This is a dehydrated entree you add water to and nuke in the microwave. I'm not sure how much it really tastes like cheese or chicken but that said it's still one of my faves. I served it with about 3 ounces of red bell pepper that is probably my favorite "eat out of hand" vegetable.
This is the first time I tried the Nutrisystem Zesty Herb Snack Mix. I think it's supposed be like the old Chex snack mix we made with Chex cereal, margarine, Worcester sauce and garlic powder. Well, not quite. It was crunchy and salty so it was satisfying in that regard. The flavor was OK. I enjoyed it with some iced coffee.
I selected the Nutrisystem Rotini and Meatballs for dinner. Normally I'd have peppered the top with a little freshly grated Parmesan cheese but that's a no-no this week. I did put some parsley on the dish to make it look better. This does not taste bad but it's very "soft" pasta and meat that tastes like.. well think Chef Boyardee.
I had a half of a medium sized cucumber with the pasta and a little more iced coffee.
I inched closer to my step goal and lost almost 2 lbs (which I realize is no doubt water weight) but I'm still happy. My best case results day to day is to lose or stay the same just don't go backwards! Tomorrow is Sunday. If I'm feeling better I'll try to get a better walk in. See ya then!
