Wow, I'm really not losing any weight and I'm following this plan to the T. I decided to shake things up a bit and try more protein and fat, less carb. With that in mind I poached an egg (I do like poached eggs) and served it atop one slice of Dave's Killer Bread, 7/8 of an ounce of Black Forest Ham. I topped it with some freshly ground black pepper and a sprinkle of kosher salt.
That tasted pretty darn good! After that I headed into town to do some grocery shopping.
After arriving back home and unpacking grocery bags I prepped my Nutrisystem Turbo Chocolate Shake. It only has 10 "effective carbs" so not bad. Now it's off to my desk for some computer time.
Staying on the protein regime I had some avocado slices, 1 7/8 ounce and 1 ounce Toscano salami. Sadly my avocado lacked flavor because it was not quite ripe enough.
For whatever reason I didn't get around to having a snack. I did get dinner in the oven around 1:15. I decided on my Slow Roasted Chicken with Yukon Gold potatoes. I decided to go big with more protein for dinner.
I love, love this chicken! I ate the leg/thigh piece. I didn't quite finish it but what I ate was great. I also had 1/2 of a Yukon Gold potato. I meant to have a salad but I filled up on the chicken and potato.
I really didn't get any walks in so I headed out after dinner for a short but decent walk. Regarding the image below, clearly I didn't eat ALL that chicken, haha!
I didn't want to add insult to injury so I passed on any dessert for the evening. I did have a cup of hot Good Earth, Sweet and Spicy decaf tea. It did not disappoint, it was delish!
I'm curious about what my weight will do tomorrow. I grabbed one more bit of chicken around 7pm. Roasted chicken is to me what chocolate is to a chocoholic. To justify my behavior I read an article that said if you wake up at 3am every morning it may because your blood sugar drops so it suggested having something past 7pm. Yep, that's my justification!
