I didn't feel like fussing with breakfast so I heated up a Nutrisystem Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffin in my usual fashion which includes a quick toast in my little convection oven which makes the but crisp rather than chewy. I served it with my usual black coffee.
I'm trying to stay protein-centric today so I just rolled up a slice of Black Forest Ham and had that as my snack. I could have added some mustard but I didn't feel like it.
I've cast aside my two Nutrisystem Broccoli and Cheese Melts long enough so I decided to eat one for lunch today. It actually tasted better than I remember. In fact, of all the alleged cheese-flavored Nutrisystem foods this one had the most distinctive cheese flavor. The broccoli was not all mushy either but a little crisp which I prefer.
I was heading out for what would be my only walk for the day so I quickly measured out 1/2 ounce of raw organic cashew nuts for my snack. This wasn't as filling as I'd hoped. I'm walking less these next few days before my medical deal that has made me cut back on exercise is rearing it's ugly head again, or in my case, foot.
Even though I had a little pizza last night "out" I chose the Nutrisystem Italian Sausage and Turkey Pepperoni Pizza for dinner. I topped it with some red onion and red bell pepper. I would have added mushrooms but i ran out. I made a quick side salad that included field greens, balsamic vinegar and a wee bit of olive oil. This ended up being a pretty filling dinner.
Although I didn't need it I decided to have a Nutrisystem Oatmeal and Chocolate Chunk Cookie. I would have preferred something crunchier but this is what I had handy. It was too late for coffee so I just enjoyed it with a glass of water
This was a "nothing good, nothing bad" kind of day for me. It's bothersome I have to cut back on exercise but once I get back on the mend I can get right back on track. Tomorrow is Saturday and I look forward to the weekend. See you then!
