I didn't really pre-plan today; it just sort of evolved. Here is how the day went.
For whatever reason I really didn't feel like doing much, well any, breakfast today. I decided on the Nutrisystem Granola Cereal with about 1/4 cup of non-fat milk. It didn't seem like much for breakfast so I added 1/2 ounce of raw almonds on the side. The meal ended up being pretty filling.
I did take a one mile walk around 10ish in the morning. Finally, after 11am I had my snack which was the Nutritystem Chocolate Turbo Shake. I keep several canisters in the pantry at all times.
I stuck with a basic Nutrisystem Hamburger for lunch. I topped it with a little Dijon mustard, red onion slices, red leaf lettuce and some tomato. I also had a few crunchy red radishes and some fresh cucumber spears. I also had one quarter of a Kosher dill pickle. Delish!
I grabbed a quick 1/2 cup of 2% fat cream cheese. I didn't care for the brand I purchased but my old standard was not available. I have to say nothing screams "diet food" like cottage cheese so I rarely eat it. I served it with a little bit of tomato and some freshly ground pepper.
I headed out for a walk around 3:30 or so. It amounted to about a mile and half but I came back short of my 10k goal (high 9k's).
This is my first "flex dinner". I grilled a pork chop, heated some frozen peas and made a simple field greens salad with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was nice to have a fresh food meal. My pork chop was too large so I cut it down to the 4oz it needed to be.
I topped off the evening with a Nutrisystem Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich. I still like these a lot although it's starting to get cold and ice cream is a little less attractive. By the time I got a few more steps in during the meal prep process I was just a few hundred short of my goal. I decided to get all 10k in and I just walked around the house like a circuit course until I hit my 10k goal!
